Assaultin' Pepa

Hotter and spicier than a habanero, Assaultin' Pepa can make you cry at first bite. Born to an East LA gang member who unsuspectingly wooed Hollywood royalty, Pepa was first on her block to sport the Kangol cap and bust the old-school rhymes. Looking for a fast way out of the sordid tale of urban anguish, she soon added a pair of speed skates to her ensemble and her moves. Pepa earned her skating stripes as she sashayed like back in the day and eventually landed amid the new breed of drinkers and wild ones cropping up in Denver: The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls.

Sincerity and voice is what she's all about and she loudly resisted the siren song of the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls as they called to her, urging her to infuse the sport of roller derby with her own unique brand of flava. Old school met old school when Pepa agreed to join the league and now she wages war on the flat track as a blocker for the Red Ridin' Hoods.

Her hobbies include aggravated impulse and assault. Pepa's favorite quote is "There are a million ways to be cruel." And today, opposing team members and referees alike frequently charge her with the crime of assault with a deadly Pepa, inspiring her latest and most memorable hip hop hook of all time: titled Guilty As Charged.
