Luscious Smacksome is fast. Ever since she can remember she has had a thing for speed. It started when she was just five years old. She used to take her Radio Flyer Wagon and careen down every hill in the county, much to her parents’ horror. As a teenager, she stole the neighbor’s riding lawnmower and souped it up to about 45 miles an hour, tearing through the residential streets. The following year she revved up her birthday scooter, and hit the streets feeding her insatiable desire for speed, until she ran over the neighbor’s yappy dog. There were rumors that this was intentional, but it could never be proven.

In high school things got more serious as her pension for speed quickened. Late night she would drag race for extra cash. But it was never enough. She moved on to stealing and stripping cars full time upon graduation. She couldn’t stay under the radar long. She spent her 20's in maximum security prison. There, she learned to fight. When she got out, she spiraled into a deep depression.  She just couldn’t find happiness without the daily dose of adrenalin that came along with fighting and racing cars.

And then she found roller derby.  It was as if she had found her place in this world. Now, if you are lucky enough to see her skate, you will see her slice through the pack like a razor and just when she reaches “blur” speed she will unexpectedly smash into unknowing skaters. And you can tell from her smile, life is complete again.
